Ingredients:-
1 cup rava
1/2 tsp black pepper powder
1/4th tsp chilli flakes
1/2 tsp chaat masala
1/2 tsp salt
1/4th tsp oregano/ mixed herbs
1/2 cup water
3 tbsp oil
Oil for frying
Method:-
1. Firstly, in a large bowl take rava. Take fine rava for better results. Add black pepper powder, chilli flakes, chaat masala, salt, oregano/ mixed herbs and oil.
2. Mix them very well. Make sure that the flour gets moist.
3. Now, begin to add water as required and start kneading to form a smooth dough. Grease the dough with some oil and allow the dough to rest for 15 mins.
4. Knead the dough again, making sure that the rava has absorbed water and dough is soft.
5. Pinch a small portion from the dough and press it on the back of the fork. Roll it gently to form a spiral shape.
6. Deep fry the snack in hot oil. Keep the flame to its medium heat. Stir occasionally in between, so that the frying is uniform on all sides.
7. Fry the snack till it turns golden and crisp.
8. You can enjoy sooji twisters with hot tea or hot milk or hot coffee. Alternatively, you can also store the sooji twisters in an airtight container for 2-3 weeks.
